This silver on black MZ has been my personal project for the last few years but I originally met the car in 2009 when the first owner brought it to my BMW Shop and spent $11,000 on it at one throw: Schrick cams, headers, CAI, big injectors, software under the hood. Bilstein Sports & Eibach springs, lightweight flywheel & sport clutch, short shift kit, and more. I found it a few years ago on CL from the second owner, bought it and became the third. The car was already fast but I couldn't leave well enough alone so...
Since then I have added an OBD1 intake manifold, deleted the DSC & SAI, and installed a Dinan CAI that draws from the bumper, with a Samco intake elbow. I replaced all 24 lifters and installed a rebuilt VANOS unit. It got new Michelin Pilot Super Sports this spring. Now it's absurdly fast and a huge blast to drive.
I did the seat rail bushings and found a cool glove box reinforcement piece for the hinge so it doesn't rattle. I change fluids & filters much too often and I have a bunch of upgrade & spare parts to go with it.
Just recently I found a nice hard top for it, but it still needs to be painted to match. I have a bunch of other things to talk about as ongoing upgrades, but I can't type worth a damn so this is all you get until we talk.
