Seller Description

This 1999 BMW M Roadster is one of 742 finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over black Nappa leather for the North American market for the model year. It has been outfitted with a Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement kit, a front shock tower brace, 17″ APEX Y-spoke wheels, Bilstein dampers, H&R rear lowering springs, and aftermarket suspension bushings. It is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over black Nappa leather, and it is powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a black convertible soft top, heated sport seats, a CD stereo, a Harman Kardon sound system, air conditioning, and cruise control. This M Roadster has 157k miles and is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Minnesota title.

The body is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic, and features include a power-operated black convertible soft top, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists “minor” damage to the front-left corner and left side in an August 2017 entry. The doors were replaced and areas of the rear quarter panels were repainted in May 2024.

The 17″ APEX Y-spoke wheels are mounted with Falken Azenis RT660 tires, which were fitted in April 2023. The car is equipped with Automatic Stability Control, a front shock tower brace, Bilstein dampers, and H&R rear lowering springs. AKG Motorsport front control arm bushings, polyurethane rear trailing arm bushings, and tie rod end links were fitted in July 2020. The front brake rotors, pads, lines, and sensors were replaced and the brake fluid was flushed in April 2023.

The cabin features black Nappa leather covering the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Amenities include roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, an alarm system, a BMW Traffic Pro CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system. The shifter rod was replaced in June 2018.

The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 157k miles.

The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The coolant was changed in September 2022, the thermostat was replaced in May 2023, and the valve cover gasket was replaced in August 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A Randy Forbes subframe reinforcement kit was fitted, the floorpan was repaired, and AKG subframe and differential mount bushings were installed in July 2020. The driveshaft flex joint was replaced in April 2023.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage.

This roadster was just for sale privately a couple months ago. It appears to have lost its hard top though you can't remove the subframe reinforcement. Bidding up to $1,500.00 so far
