I recently acquired this rare and very low production beauty from a BMW mechanic specialist. Prior to his ownership, he purchased it from one of his customer who have owned it since 04/18/2011. Records shows all service history was done by my mechanic. With that said, the car is mechanically sound as this was his personal vehicle.
Car runs absolutely amazing and strong. No weird noises or issues. No white, black or blue smokes. No leaks and everything works as it should. This is a turn key car and ready to be enjoyed. No hidden or unknown repairs or service needed.
For 2001, BMW went from healthy to insane, swapping in the then-new E46 M3's engine, which in the M Roadster would produce 315 horsepower made at a screaming 7,400 pm.
BMW made a number of other enhancements for 2001, and you'll see this reflected in pricing for used examples these days. Any 1998-2000 model year M Roadster will look like a bargain compared to the 2001-2002 models, and that's largely because of the engine. Rarity would be the other - BMW sold only 921 in North America in 2001 versus 4,338 the year before.

Please keep your negative comments to yourself, as I will just ignore it.
Not in a rush to sell by any means. If you find a cheaper identical car , great buy that one instead of telling me what the car should be worth. Lowball offers will be ignored.
If you still see the ad up, it’s still available , so don’t ask. Don’t need help selling the car also, so don’t waste your time asking if I want to put the car on consignment.
Asking : $34,900 obo
