This 2000 BMW Z3 is one of a reported 50 examples modified by Dinan with the ISR 3 package, which added a Vortech supercharger, an air-to-air intercooler, and a high-flow throttle body and fuel delivery system as well as performance springs, Koni shock absorbers, and larger sway bars. Acquired by the seller in 2008, the car now has 43k miles and is powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six linked to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over black and red leather and features 17″ Dinan Fikse FM5 wheels, a black convertible soft top, heated seats, air conditioning, and a CD stereo. This Dinan ISR 3 M Roadster is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a set of wheels, a Carfax report, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic (354) and features a power-operated black convertible soft top and front fender vents. An October 2001 entry on the Carfax report shows that the car hit a tree and notes moderate damage to the front. Scuffs are noted on the front lip spoilers.
The 17″ Dinan Fikse FM5 wheels are mounted with 235/40 front and 275/40 rear Falken Azenis RT660 tires. The car has been fitted with performance springs, Koni shock absorbers, larger sway bars, and a Dinan aluminum and carbon-fiber front strut tower brace. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with slotted front rotors.
The heated bucket seats are trimmed in black and red leather that extends to the center console and door panel inserts. Amenities include dual roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, and a CD stereo.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. A VDO analog clock and instruments for boost and oil pressure are located in the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 43k miles, approximately 20k of which were added during current ownership.
The 3.2-liter S52 inline-six has been modified with the ISR 3 package and was rated by Dinan at 396 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque when new. The package included a Vortech supercharger, an air-to-air intercooler, and a polished and ported intake manifold with increased runner diameters in addition to a larger high-flow throttle body, a high-flow fuel delivery system, and revised ECU and VANOS variable valve timing programming.
A Dinan tag located in the engine compartment designates this car as the fifth ISR 3 example and lists a build date of March 8, 2001.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.38:1 gearing. A lightweight clutch has been fitted along with a free-flow stainless-steel exhaust system.
A set of 17″ wheels with 225/45 Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 tires will accompany the car.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident.
