This 2000 BMW M Roadster is said to have been purchased new through BMW’s European Delivery program, and the seller tells us that it remained registered with its original owner and participated in seven One Lap of America events and numerous races around the country before ownership was transferred in 2017. A previously installed supercharger kit and big brake kit were removed following the seller’s acquisition, and subsequent work reportedly included sourcing and overhauling a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six with Schrick performance camshafts, reupholstering the seats in black and gray leather, fitting stock brake components and a Nakamichi head unit, wiring repairs, and replacing the soft top hydraulic cylinders, headlights, radiator, and air conditioning components. Further equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, revised engine management software, 18″ OZ Racing wheels, a Dinan Stage II suspension, SuperSprint exhaust components, a UUC short shifter, and a European-specification E36 M3 engine oil cooler setup. This Oxford Green Metallic-finished M Roadster has 247k miles and is now offered by the seller with a tool kit, a tire inflator, and a branded Washington title in the name of the seller’s spouse.
This M Roadster is one of 58 examples finished in Oxford Green Metallic (430) over Black and Dark Gray Nappa leather for the North American market for the model year. Features include a power-operated black convertible soft top, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets. The seller reports that the top hydraulic cylinders were replaced in 2024 and aftermarket halo-style headlights were fitted in 2025. The Carfax report lists damage to the left-rear pillar and left center pillar in a December 2003 entry, and a March 2017 entry lists damage to the front as a result of a rear-end collision with another motor vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently declared a “total loss” and was issued a “rebuilt” title. Paintwork was performed on portions of the exterior under previous ownership, and photos of paint imperfections are viewable in the gallery below.
A Dinan Stage II suspension kit was added under previous ownership, and the 18″ OZ Racing wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires that are said to have been installed in 2019. The seller notes that suspension damage was repaired following the 2017 accident, and stock brake components were reinstalled under current ownership in place of a previously fitted big brake kit.
The bucket seats were reupholstered under current ownership in the factory shade of gray leather with black inserts by the seller’s business, Group 2 Motorsports of Woodinville, Washington. A Nakamichi Bluetooth head unit has been added, and appointments include a UUC short shifter kit, roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Harman Kardon sound system. The air conditioning system is said to have been replaced in 2024. One Lap of America decals are present on the front portion of both door panels.
The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 247k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. The instrument cluster lighting was repaired in 2024, per the seller.
Work under current ownership by Group 2 Motorsports is said to have included removing a previously installed Dinan supercharger kit along with sourcing and overhauling a low-mile 3.2-liter S52 inline-six with Schrick performance camshafts. Approximately 2k miles have been added since the engine build. Additional modifications include a Euro-specification E36 M3 engine oil cooler setup, 22RPD engine management software, an aftermarket intake, and a Strong-Strut front strut tower brace. The seller tells us that wiring repairs were performed throughout the car, the radiator was replaced in 2024, and the fluids were changed in January 2025.
The five-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential are said to have been rebuilt under previous ownership. The seller notes that the trunk welds and differential mounts have been addressed. The car is equipped with a SuperSprint exhaust system.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident, “total loss” designation, and multiple “rebuilt title issued” entries.
The current Washington title lists “Rebuilt” and “Other” brands.
