Seller Description

This 2000 BMW Z3 M Roadster is the colour Velvet Blue. I have owned the car 13 years and am the second owner. The colour Velvet Blue is very rare, with only 12 vehicles made in this colour by BMW in North America and they were all for the year 2000 Roadsters sold in Canada. The colour changes depending on the light. The seat bolsters and door cards are also custom coloured. This car has stunning lines and is pretty from every angle. I always get questions about it. If you want something different, this is the car. The only reason I am selling is that we are moving in the near future and its time to downsize.

I purchased this vehicle with 30,000 km in 2008 and it now only has 60,500km (37,600 miles). This vehicle is always garaged, rarely seen rain, stored every winter. If you are unaware of the M badge, true M cars have more than just a fancy interior. This is different from other Z3's in that the engine is larger and more powerful, the brakes and suspension are upgraded, twin exhaust, air intakes to cool brakes, and it has more instrumentation among other things. It is rear wheel drive, like true sports cars.

It has a 6 cylinder 3.2 litre, 240 hp M engine, with tons of torque (236 lb-ft) and it sounds great. These engines are known for their power and reliability. The car has brand new rear tires and has had excellent maintenance always. It has a 5 Speed standard transmission. Its rear tires are wider than the fronts giving it a muscular stance. The tire sizes are 225/45/17 and rears are 245/40/17. This car was respected and was never raced or abused. It has no subframe issues. It is very clean underneath. Everything works on this car; the clock, volt meter, power soft top etc. Many extras are included such as a removable windbreaker, full service manual, Peak Research code reader, jack and tire repair kit (M's have no spare to reduce weight) and much more. The Flex disc (Guibo) was just changed last summer. I am the guy you want to buy a car from. All service records. Lots of other pictures if requested.

The only upgrades were the following and done after lots of research for sensible improvements:
1) added a Stewart Water Pump, as the originals were prone to plastic blade failure.
2) Rogue engineering rear shock mounts to reinforce that area and to allow for easy shock changes if needed
3) Strong Strut Engine brace
4) Changed out the leather shifter, E-brake boot and armrest to custom ones (by Leather Z) that have triple stitching with M colours. ( I have the originals with are the same colour as the seat bolsters)
5) The stereo system, which was weak with these cars, was upgraded a few years ago to an excellent Kenwood/Focal/Kicker system with Blue Tooth for your phone.
6) The headlights were upgraded to be stronger

I have the carfax report which will show a 2014 claim for $2124. This was because someone just touched the car and scraped the front left fender/bumper. It was cosmetic ( I have photos) and at the time I decided to have the hood resprayed and 3M coating added to them. The front of this car is virtually chip free, which cannot be said for most of these cars.

The car will be certified. Priced very reasonably for a car of this nature. Payment will need to be certified cheque or wire transfer. Serious inquiries only please. Thank you.

Sounds like it's already sale pending

It's been a while since a car listing has made me updated my production database which is really cool. I found the 12 special ordered roadsters for Canada in 2000 as is mentioned in the listing. I also found one of his old posts on Bimmerfest with a few more details. I think it's really cool. Too bad it's still a couple years out from easily bringing it into the US. It's in nice condition with just a few well chosen upgrades. The price in Canadian dollars seems fair.
